Spotify Plans AI Song Remixes for About $5

Spotify plans to launch an AI covers and remixes tool in the first quarter of 2027, maybe unveiled around the Grammys in February, and is weighing a price of $4 to $5 a month on top of Premium, the Financial Times reported on October 30, 2026, citing people familiar with the plans (as reported by Music Business Worldwide and Reuters). Spotify declined to comment to the FT, and its sources said neither the timing nor the price is final. Paying subscribers could make their own versions of songs by artists who have opted in, such as turning a folk song into a dance track or making one artist sound like they are covering another.
