The Pentagon classified Anthropic as a "supply-chain risk" — same designation as foreign adversaries — after Anthropic refused unrestricted Claude access for domestic mass surveillance and autonomous weapons. Anthropic sued, won an injunction. Google signed the contract Anthropic refused, the same week Google invested $40B in Anthropic.
